| I am a retired computer and electronics instructor residing in Northwood, NH with my wife Susan. We both have had a passion for art glass and crystal pieces for many years. I first started displaying my work for others to enjoy, in November of 2007, after being juried into both the Valley Artisans in Epsom, NH and the Artisans Gallery of Tilton in Tilton, NH, as well as being a member of The Craftworkers’ Guild, Located In Bedford, NH. Except for a class I had taken in stained art glass over 30 yrs ago, I have been self taught and fascinated with it ever since. Recently, after creating stained glass projects for a number of years for family and friends, I wanted to try something new with glass. I took a class in fused glass in the early part of 2007 and was hooked, so I purchased an electric glass kiln and started creating fused glass items. Items, such as plates, candle holders, vases and bowls, wind chimes and ornaments. I also enjoy having fun creating one of a kind and abstract type pieces as well as recycling wine and liqueur bottles into cheese & cracker sets. I am also designing glass jewelry. Enhanced with sterling silver, Dichroic jewelry embraces an amazing luster with opal like depth and a sparkling radiance of color. Dichroic glass pendants and earrings dazzle in the light while reflecting the colors you are wearing. They always bring comments and compliments to the wearer with its simplicity of design. After being fired in a kiln for many hours, fused glass is extremely durable and ranks very high in the beauty to price ratio as compared to all of the precious and semi-precious stones used in jewelry. You will find hand crafted Dichroic glass jewelry for everyday and special occasions. |
